Nutrition Services, Inc - Services We Offer In MN

The Senior Nutrition Program is available to anyone aged 60 and over. The spouse of an eligible participant or a volunteer may participate in the program regardless of age.

Participants may confidentially contribute toward the cost of the meal. Suggested contribution guidelines are posted at the sites. No one is denied a meal because they are unable to contribute. EBT cards are accepted.

Congregate Dining

Dining site locations are handicapped accessible
Meals are served at lunch time (each dining site varies)
Reservations the day before are requested, if possible
All meals meet 1/3 RDA (nutritional value)
Ethnic and special diet meals are available
Eligible customers can donate whatever they can afford for their meal (donations are confidential)
Participant assistance with transportation to dining sites can be looked into if no other means is available
Assistance is available for those with disabilities
Entree choice menus are available at selected locations
Salad bars are available at selected locations
Free nutrition counseling by our Registered Dietitian is available upon request
Exercise and educational programs are available
Parties and other social events can be accommodated
Assistance programs to access other services are available
SNAP (food stamps) is accepted
Emergency meals available during winter months and other emergencies
Weekend and holiday meals available

Home Delivered Meals

Meals are delivered to all areas of Region 4, including rural areas
Ethnic and special diet meals are available
Eligible customers can donate whatever they can afford for their meal (donations are confidential)
Lunch companion service is available upon request (someone eats lunch with you)
Telecare service is available upon request (someone calls to check on you to make sure you are OK)
Free nutrition counseling by our Registered Dietitian is available upon request
We provide meals through the Elderly Waivered/Alternative Care Programs
Meals are delivered by a caring person either daily, 2-3 times per week or weekly
Starting in 2020, customers most in need can get 2 meals per day, up to 14 per week
Reservations the day before are requested, if possible
All meals meet 1/3 RDA (nutritional value)
SNAP (food stamps) is accepted
Emergency meals available during winter months and other emergencies
Weekend and holiday meals available
